Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall has signed a new contract running until summer 2031, the club confirmed. The 22-year-old agreed a two-year extension to his original deal after attracting interest from Manchester United over the summer. Hall said extending his stay was a "really proud moment" and cited family ties to the club and the new coaching staff under Matthias Jaissle as reasons for committing. Jaissle called Hall "a very important player for us and for what we are building" and praised his defensive maturity, technical level and willingness to improve. Since joining from Chelsea in 2023, Hall has made 106 appearances for Newcastle, set up two goals already this season and ranked highly for high-speed and underlapping runs and dribbles per match. The club described securing Hall as a significant move amid a busy summer of transfers, and Jaissle last month dismissed Manchester United interest when Peter Schmeichel raised it.
