VGen artists open commissions and share portfolios

artAug 31, 20262084,188

A wave of artists announced open commission slots and posted portfolio pages on VGen. Escotanner posted a commissions and portfolio notice and several other creators linked vgen.co pages to reopen or advertise commission options. SerenniArt said commissions will reopen tomorrow, September 1, and arsdaemonum and shimimori announced near-term reopenings as well. One artist declared "EMERGENCY COMMISIONS OPEN" and another said an unexpected 105 euros in vet bills prompted them to take commissions. Some creators are offering specific incentives and formats: Veemonsito offered a 5 percent discount for first customers pending three reviews to gain verification, and ousamars revived seasonal YCH pieces for September and October. Multiple posts show finished VGen commission work across fandoms and genres, including Pokemon, Final Fantasy XIV, and original characters, indicating active fulfillment as well as new availability for patrons.

An illustration of disastersmn’s character, Azura. She has long purple ombré hair, fair skin, amber eyes and purple lipstick. She has multiple silver piercings on her ears and is wearing a black outfit with belts around her waist and fingerless gloves. She is looking towards the viewer with a smile on her face and her left hand close to her face. The background is a purple gradient with multiple white stars and patterns. There is a white border around the illustration.

First impressions are important. Another #VgenComm for @akuseroh.bsky.social! Thank you once again!! <3 #Pokemon #PMD #Oshawott #Pikachu

Illustration featuring my own Oshawott OC(Mike) and AkuSeroh's Pikachu OC(Ren.) Ren is close to Mike, as he has his arm wrapped around Mike to grab his shoulder, poking him with this other paw, all while bearing a cocky and winking face at him. Meanwhile Mike is feeling uncomfortable with Ren's behavior, leaning a bit away from him and having an uncertain expression on his face.

Colored half-body Vgen comm for @ioshi.bsky.social , their miqo Iridaea! Thank you very much for supporting me, loved getting to draw Iri!! 💜💗🌟 #art #commission #FFXIV #FFXIVart #FF14 #VGen

A colored half-body commission depicting a female Miqo'te original character, Iridaea, from the game Final Fantasy 14. She has light warm skin and holds her hair back with both her arms. Her hair is long and purple, with red streaks at the ends. Her left eye is red, and her right eye is magenta. She has red facial markings, and cat ears coming out of her head. She wears tight purple shorts, a purple corset and a purple halter top, showing her cleavage. Her tail is the same purple as her hair, curling behind her. Tony ✧ emergency comms (VGEN NEW)

@annfoo.bsky.social

! EMERGENCY COMMISIONS OPEN ! I need help. I'll write more in the alt text. I'd be grateful for every repost, comment, and like so that as many people as possible can see it. #CommisionsOPEN #VGEN vgen.co/AnnfooArt

*At the beginning, I’d like to give some context for the whole situation. Below is the actual image alt text for people with visual impairments.

Hi, I’m Tony, I’m 28 years old, and I lost my job today. This is the second job I’ve lost this year. This is putting a lot of financial instability on both me and my partner, who I live with. I need $800 per month to be able to cover bills, rent, etc. until I can find another job. I’m begging for your support, because commissions are the only thing I can immediately turn to right now.

Even if you can’t afford a commission, please repost this and leave a comment so that more people can see it. It could genuinely save my life. I love you all, and thank you for every bit of help.

Alt Text:

The image is a screenshot from VGen belonging to the post’s creator (https://vgen.co/AnnfooArt), showing the prices for available commissions.

Chibi: 85 PLN (~$22)
Illustration: starting at 100 PLN (~$28)

Next to the price list is a green-and-orange character styled after Hollow Knight: Silksong, looking miserable, with a piece of paper stuck to their forehead that says “Fired from my job.”
