Andrew Benintendi collected all three Chicago hits and his sixth-inning home run off Andrew Morris gave the White Sox a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins Saturday in Minneapolis. Benintendi lofted a below-the-strike-zone cutter into the right-field seats to break a 2-2 tie; Morris fell to 4-7. Sean Newcomb worked three scoreless innings and Bryan Hudson recorded his seventh save as Chicago’s bullpen added four shutout frames after Erick Fedde (7-8) allowed two earned runs and struck out four in the start. The win was the White Sox’s fourth straight and pushed Chicago to a season-high nine games over .500. Minnesota has lost seven of eight games, going 8-17 in August, and sits 4 1/2 games behind the final American League wild-card spot and eight games under .500. Bailey Ober gave the Twins five innings, allowing one earned run and two hits with five strikeouts. Jordan Hicks (2-1, 3.83) will face Zebby Matthews (8-8, 4.86) in Sunday’s series finale.
