the current financial rules are broken. clubs are being mismanaged, we shouldn't ignore that entirely, but the rules should be there to encourage clubs to develop and keep their own players, not swap them between each other for inflated fees to balance the books.
Quarante millions pour un gamin de 19 ans, c’est une sacrée somme pour Forest…
If this happens then just fold the club Cant have clubs like Forest trying to poach your best prospects just because they have a few quid lying around
Transfer fees have gone utterly bananas this year, it’s not just Spurs overpaying
Absolutely not, he'll be worh 3x that in 18 months.
I learnt about hyperinflation by being taught about the Weimar Republic at school. Teenagers now are probably learning about it via David Ornstein posts during the transfer window.
The more I see of other clubs' transfer dealings, the more I realise that #lufc have done some incredible shit these last few years. I've never heard of this dude. He may be very promising but that's a bonkers fee for a 19-year-old who spent last season on loan at Preston.
If he and Ndiaye both leave we might as well just give up now.
Transfer fees are just all over the place this summer, like they're chosen by raffle ticket Maybe we'll get £85m for Endo
