Peter Cullen not becoming Optimus until he was 43 is actually kinda slightly inspiring because yeah you'll get older but that doesn't mean you won't have more chances to do something that motivates millions

In addition to being the voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen was also the OG promo voice for Toonami back in the day. His voice really elevated these promos, and help made the block so beloved. You could just feel the Aura and hype when he narrated these promos. 💔💔

I'm so grateful I had done this photo op with Peter Cullen at MEGACON 2026. This was the last time I ever got to see him in person.

If nothing else, Peter Cullen having a legacy in your profession of voicing two incredibly memorable and iconic characters (Optimus and Eeyore) for FORTY-TWO and THIRTY-TWO years respectively and setting the blueprint for all future performances is a hell of a thing.
