Liverpool have reached an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain to sign forward Bradley Barcola in a package worth around £120 million, of which more than £100 million is guaranteed. Sporting director Richard Hughes and Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon handled negotiations and were ironing out final details on Thursday morning. Nothing has been signed and the transfer is not complete, but The Athletic reported that Barcola is committed to joining Liverpool after key talks with PSG. The 23-year-old France international has two years left on his PSG contract, has made 49 appearances in 2025-26 with 13 goals and seven assists, and was left out of PSG’s matchday squad for the Ligue 1 opener against Rennes. Barcola has recorded 39 goals and 37 assists in 152 appearances since breaking into PSG’s first team in 2021-22 and scored three goals across all eight of France’s matches at this summer’s World Cup. Liverpool identified Barcola this summer as their primary target to replace Mohamed Salah, and the proposed move could have knock-on effects for forward Cody Gakpo, who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and attracted interest from Manchester City.
