CIA Director John Ratcliffe Makes Surprise Trip to Moscow

1/ The unexpected and apparently brief visit of CIA Director John Ratcliffe to Moscow has caused confusion among Russian warbloggers. They suggest that he was sent in place of the usual "diplomatic clowns" to deliver an ultimatum to the Kremlin. ⬇️

Whatever CIA Director John Ratcliffe had to tell Russia in person, hopefully stops or stalls the 2nd invasion front in the Baltics. A top secret discussion was carried out, and he has now left Russia after a few hours. Ukraine and other allies are privy to only some of the details.

CIA Director Ratcliffe arrived in Moscow after the US gathered intelligence indicating mobilization preparations and plans to test NATO's resolve.

Putin signed three secret decrees after the visit of CIA Director John Ratcliffe, the Moscow Times reports.

As the CIA Director has left Moscow, I can only conclude his visit signals that US intelligence perceives the threat that Russia is seriously preparing for an armed confrontation with a NATO member to be substantial. We are perilously close to Article 5 territory now.

I understand Ukraine was made aware of the CIA Director's trip to Moscow today, and some of the contents of what Ratcliffe discussed with the Kremlin. What exactly was said is not known.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe flew to Moscow, Russia, on an unannounced visit on Tuesday, U.S. officials said, his first publicly known trip to the Russian capital. Ratcliffe spent about four hours in Moscow before leaving.
