Again, no one has explained to me why it's bad, dystopian, expensive, fascism, if the GOP deploys 800 National Guard against Black people in DC... But it's good, wonderful, blue democracy, of Dems deploy 1000 National Guard against Black people in NYC. 🙂🙃 The NYC deployment has been even longer.🤷🏿‍♂️

Trump’s claiming DC as his own demesne, backed by National Guard and federal law enforcement. All this stuff is like a dog peeing on every hydrant but more dangerous.

Wait I just found out today the #NationalGuard are not all required to be #BLS certified? they cannot respond in a #medical emergency even for basic #CPR and AED? Why the hell else would they be in the most posh parts of DC that have wealthy older adults? That’s their only use

The National Guard wandering around in their desert warfare costumes do nothing to enhance safety and security in DC. To the contrary, their very presence is a menacing provocation of violence, and unproductively dangerous.They don't inspire ease, they cause unwarranted fear among the people.
