Isack Hadjar will miss the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix after sustaining a wrist injury during the summer shutdown, Red Bull said. Liam Lawson will step up from Racing Bulls to replace Hadjar at Red Bull for this weekend’s race. Racing Bulls will promote reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda to fill Lawson’s seat; Tsunoda drove for the team between 2021 and 2025 and was retained as a Red Bull reserve after being dropped from the race line-up at the end of last year. Red Bull gave no further medical details or indication whether Hadjar’s injury will affect future rounds, saying only that Hadjar “has sustained a wrist injury during summer shutdown that will prevent him from racing at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix.” Hadjar had revealed a special helmet for this weekend intended to mark his first podium at Zandvoort last year. Coincidentally, Lawson made his Formula 1 debut at the Dutch Grand Prix three years earlier after Daniel Ricciardo broke his wrist in practice. There is a two-week gap between the Dutch round and the next race at Monza.
