Microsoft announced the second Xbox Game Pass wave for late August 2026, headlined by Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy joining Game Pass on August 27. The publisher listed nine new additions across late August, starting with Egging On on August 18 and including Vapor World: Over the Mind (Game Preview) on August 19, BlazBlue Entropy Effect X and Relooted on August 19, Starsand Island on August 20, Aerial_Knight’s DropShot and Blood Dungeon on August 25, and Resonance on August 27. Several of these arrive day one on Game Pass, with Vapor World, Blood Dungeon, and Resonance noted as day-one titles. Platform availability varies by game but includes Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC where specified, and some titles are listed as joining Game Pass Premium in addition to Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Xbox also announced multiple titles will leave the service at month end, with Microsoft naming August 31 as the departure date for several games including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and offering at least 20 percent discounts on those leaving. The wave mixes narrative-driven and action experiences, roguelite and platforming fare, and a cozy island sim, expanding Game Pass’s day-one and indie offerings through the end of August.
