Today’s Bird of the Day theme is #PeekABoo, asking for birds peeking out at the camera, with an alternative theme of Finches. Submissions are close-up, shy portraits and peeks from perches, hides, and foliage, often showing only an eye or head tilt. Standout entries include a puffin peering down at the photographer, a very shy juvenile goldcrest ducking among ferns, and a Double-barred Finch photographed at Archerfield Wetlands. Also look for a male bullfinch in spring plumage, a Blue Jay atop a birdhouse, and ducks like a tufted duck and a Red-crested Pochard playing coy; post under #PeekABoo to join.
