The early release of the two who killed PC Harper is abhorrent and I remain convinced that the 27k prisoners who are jailed for non violent offences should be released first inc all protesters. However let's be crystal clear, 1) this is the fault of 14 years of Tory mis-rule, 1/2

If the government passes primary legislation to give those convicted of the manslaughter of PC Harper longer sentences, then that shows them up further for not righting the egregious wrong of the "Supreme" Court ignoring the law to define Sex as "biological" in the Equality Act.

BBC news have spent a week talking about PC Harper's killers, all the details and how people feel about it. Yes it's a horrific case but it's when trying to create policy to solve a prisons crisis (or any idea if justice), it's a very, very bad idea to base it around one highly charged case.
