Jung Hoo Lee hit a go-ahead solo home run off Hayden Wesneski in the bottom of the fifth, a 382-foot shot with a 35-degree launch and 105.6 mph exit velocity that put San Francisco ahead 2-1. The homer came with two outs and Wesneski’s 4-seam was tracked at 92.5 mph with 2,167 rpm. Broadcasters and posts noted the drive nearly reached the Bay and was described as a no-doubt homer in all 30 parks. The Giants later relinquished the lead and the game finished with Houston defeating San Francisco 6-3 in 10 innings; Josh Hader earned the win and Jason Foley took the loss. A call in the eighth was challenged and upheld, and Jung Hoo Lee was later involved defensively on a play that produced a key single for Houston in extras.
