This is a crime (UNCLOS, Art. 98) for which the captain of the yacht should be imprisoned. If the captain was acting on the orders of Zuckerberg, then the yacht should also be confiscated and Zuckerberg should be prohibited from ever owning or operating another one.
Max7I like this idea! It's a bit more complicated than that. The Convention isn't legally binding, and the yacht would come under the jurisdiction of wherever it was registered. No official penalties are imposed. In practice is isn't too hard to claim inability to safely assist. But yes. Confiscate! 😀
