Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened to an adjusted $360 million domestic weekend, the largest opening weekend in history, overtaking Avengers: Endgame. Final box-office adjustments produced the $360 million figure, moving the new Spider-Man film to the top of the all-time domestic opening list. Tom Holland stars and co-lead Zendaya has celebrated the film’s commercial success with him. Director Destin Daniel Cretton said Holland improvised a key line, "You’d be happy to know that I’ve decided I’m not going to do this alone anymore", which Cretton called the movie’s north star. Early reviews quoted in coverage call Brand New Day a "soaring, resounding triumph" and liken its emotional climax to an Avengers film. The blockbuster opening has already generated discussion about future MCU crossovers and franchise directions among fans and commentators.
