Ariana Grande will "take a step back from visibility" after her Eternal Sunshine tour ends next month and has withdrawn from the West End revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George. A representative told People the 33-year-old singer made the choice after "endless, ongoing public scrutiny" around her physical appearance and health, and said she plans to finish the tour "on a high note, both healthily and happily" before the break. Empire Street Productions confirmed the Barbican 2027 production will proceed without Grande and offered "complete understanding and support"; no replacement has been named. The scrutiny intensified after the release this week of her album Petal and a music video for its single in which her character is criticized for her looks. Her representative also noted the tour is physically demanding and praised her ability to perform at a high athletic level night after night. The company said it understands Grande's decision and the show remains on track to open in 2027 without her involvement.
