Gen Con 2026, Hobbit Magic promo and vendor exclusives on show

Gen Con vendors are handing out a special Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit promo card at the Gamegenic booth #929, free with any purchase over $10 from July 30 to August 2 while supplies last. Several publishers are debuting new tabletop releases and running live events on the show floor, including R. Tal at Booth #439 showing three new books for Cyberpunk, Shadow Scar, and Talsorian Presents. Indie Press Revolution's booth 449 is displaying 156 games drawn from more than 600 titles they carry and from 96 of their 220 member publishers. Plaid Hat Games has a production copy of The Monolith at Booth #2229 and is raffling a copy Saturday at 5:00 PM for attendees signed up for their Kickstarter notification. Live demos and panels are underway across the convention, from a Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG live show to mentorship and design panels and photo booths at vendor stations. Attendees report widespread vendor exclusives, artist proofs on site, and tables running demos and signings throughout the four-day event.
