Boy George releases pro-Israel single 'We Will Dance Again'

Boy George released a pro-Israel pop-reggae single titled We Will Dance Again, posted on X and Instagram with the Hebrew title עוד נרקוד. The song opens “You say genocide, I say war / When you’re attacked, that’s what the army’s for,” and in the chorus he sings “I stand with the Jews / I don’t feel brave, I just need to behave like a human.” He cites the Hamas attack at the Nova music festival in October 2023, saying civilians there were “murder[ed] … for the crime of dancing”; the article records 344 civilians and 34 security personnel killed in that attack and 44 people taken hostage. The piece notes the wider Palestinian death toll since the war began is more than 73,000. Boy George criticizes pro-Palestinian musicians in the lyrics and names artists who have supported Palestine elsewhere, including Stormzy, Damon Albarn, Clairo and Brian Eno, whose charity single Lullaby vied for Christmas No 1 in 2025. The Guardian says the release marks an intensification of Boy George’s public support for Israel after earlier saying he did not have an opinion on the country and quotes him describing long friendships with Jewish peers in an interview with the Telegraph.
