At San Diego Comic-Con Marvel unveiled a new Avengers: Doomsday poster and screened an exclusive Hall H sizzle reel featuring new footage, and attendees received Doctor Doom masks and cloaks ahead of the panel. The Hall H presentation included cast appearances and confirmed Hayley Atwell will return in Avengers: Doomsday, according to attendee posts from the panel. Separately, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige confirmed at SDCC that Ryan Gosling will play Ghost Rider in a standalone MCU feature slated for 2028, with Shawn Levy directing. Polygon reports the Gosling casting follows earlier interest from the actor and that the Ghost Rider film will be a Midnight Suns movie set after Avengers: Doomsday. Polygon also notes Ghost Rider previously appeared in two Columbia Pictures films starring Nicolas Cage and as the Robbie Reyes version on Agents of SHIELD played by Gabriel Luna, and that film rights reverted to Marvel in 2013. The immediate next steps: Marvel will screen the new material for audiences at conventions and is developing the Gosling-led Ghost Rider feature for release in 2028 under Levy.
