if you can’t replace your stove, you can get a great little induction hot plate for about $100 mine handles all my pasta, soup, anything that needs boiling or simmering. boils faster than gas, holds a perfect simmer reducing gas use helps even if you can’t quit it

Convolver2For woks, 120V induction is a bit underpowered, but if you can swing a 240V 6-20 plug Avantco has a pretty cheap 3600 watt model (and they and Vollrath have really expensive models that are excellent). For 1800 watts, I’ve heard decent things about Galaxy’s offering.
