The Baltimore Orioles beat the Boston Red Sox 5-1 in the nightcap of Wednesday’s doubleheader, ending Boston’s 15-game winning streak that had tied the franchise record set 80 years ago. Baltimore plated four runs in the top of the first against rookie opener Eduardo Rivera, who recorded two outs on 41 pitches before being removed after walking Jackson Holliday. Dylan Beavers delivered a two-run single and Johnathan Rodriguez hit a liner that caromed off the Green Monster to allow an additional run in the first. Orioles starter Kyle Bradish, fresh off a recent five-year, $90 million extension, held Boston to one run over six innings, allowing four hits with four strikeouts. Boston’s lone run came in the fourth when Willson Contreras doubled and Masataka Yoshida followed with an RBI single. Brayan Bello relieved Rivera and worked 5 1/3 scoreless innings; Bello has allowed one run over 9 2/3 innings since his July 12 recall. Interim manager Chad Tracy said the team was proud of the 15-game run and is ready to move forward after the loss.

I find baseball boring, but going to a Red Sox game at Fenway is amazing. The crowd is far more interesting to me than the game. Whole blocks of seats have been held by multiple generations who great “neighbors” like family. Don’t miss the experience if you get the chance.

My mom had been a massive Red Sox fan my whole life (I was born in 1990) I literally do not have the ability to forget Red Sox are allowed to lose games, I still remember in 2004 when my mom woke me up to tell me they were going to the World Series
