jim0novak.bsky.social2As far as I can tell, Paramount’s argument is that their merger increases competition because they need to be bigger to compete against all the other competitors who have already been allowed to engage in mergers. Sounds like Albertson’s argument for buying Kroger — the one that failed.

State attorneys general have sued over the merger between Paramount and Warner Bros, which is now temporarily paused. But new reporting from ProPublica found that FCC officials have been accepting gifts from Paramount while making decisions favorable to the corporation. Hello?
