Marvel releases the first full Avengers: Doomsday trailer
In Celebration of the reveal trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, traffic lights have been changed to Doctor Doom Green (Source: tinyurl.com/wvyb4z57)
Thank god MCU fans are getting the payoff they deserve in Avengers Doomsday: Shang-Chi will finally face his arch-rival, Gambit, in single combat
No explanation of what’s going on, not a single line from the guy the movie’s named after, just a bunch of shots of guys looking somber. Marvel Studios still has the juice!
They fucked this whole project up so badly lol Sending off Captain America only to bring him back in the NEXT event movie is an embarrassingly desperate act
Gambit: "I'm about to make a name for myself." Shang-Chi: "Shang-Chi!"
Pattern Recognition Fans Eating So Good Right Now;
laissez les bons temps roulez, chère
I've always liked doom as a character. A techno wizard who hates one nerd in particular so so much. What's the point of having him fight everyone in the world. That's a gag comic they release once in a while. Not a story.
Where the hell has he been, anyway? Off punching lads in the astral plane with Wong and Captain Marvel? Why didn't they make a film about that?
Because “Here’s two cool characters who normally wouldn’t interact facing off” isn’t something comics have been built on for decades.
The Raid but it’s Shang-Chi against everyone else
The Avengers, New Avengers and Fantastic Four meeting in ‘Avengers: Doomsday'
We’ve gone all the way back around to “black leather”
Every time I see "The Avengers" written somewhere, I get my hopes up, but it's so rarely about the real thing!
This scene was a lot funnier in Anchorman.
I'd say "Who is this even for?" and then someone would respond "Not you it's a kids movie" and then I'd say back "not a single ten year old kid would give one single crap about this, it's made for olds like me and it very obviously sucks"
so funny to have Sam and Scott as the only representatives from the old Avengers in the active rooster
Thank God* for Red Guardian making the effort. Superheroes need a bit of colour! *Thank Lenin, if you prefer, sir
every time I see this I get confused about why they went with the name of the DC villain for a Marvel film
I've missed all my favorite colorful characters standing around talking in dimly lit rooms and fighting on grey ashen landscapes in a void
They’re calling it “The most actors that are for sure all in the same room at the same time” scene blocking of all time.
Check out all these people that are definitely physically present in the same room at the same time in real life.
Do you think Chris Redfield and Zangief are coming back for this or nah?
This is going to be such an amazing movie
this meeting could've been an email?
they've digitally erased the Power Pack here to preserve the surprise
This was everyone's dream back years ago when that 20th Century/Fox Licenses were in the way- omfg, it is such a huge thing for Marvel right now 🥹😭❤️✨️
Oh god they have learned *nothing*
SPOILER ALERT: The real villain of Avengers: Doomsday has been revealed! 👻🚫
the avengers doomsday trailer dares to ask how many marvel characters they can fit into one dimly lit room
as one of countless people who fell off watching this stuff post-endgame, doomsday feels like it's in a sour spot with both too little AND too much setup. zero prior setup for doom himself, but also please watch a dozen movies and disney plus shows as homework to understand what's up with the heroes
Don’t you understand they gotta add Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White And Benito Mussolini and the Blue Meanie And Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie Robocop, The Terminator, every single Power Ranger, The Rock, Doc Ock, and Doctor Doom All in one room! And make it look as bland as possible.
notice how every room, even outside, is circular? they REALLYYYY used the volume here lol, half those characters arent in the same set as each other and are on the volume wall
Marvel Avengers Doomsday Part 1 trailer is out. I really hope Chris Evans made Feige mow his lawn.
Is Disney's plan simply to dump a truckload of money on the doorstep of the old pre-endgame crew?
I'm excited to see how Cap proves he's not an imposter to Thor. Y'know a little mystery for fans to obsess --- Oh. Nevermind...
I watched the trailer, and at the end just rolled my eyes. All that build-up speechifying for *that*. Yawn. Include me out.
watching the avengers trailer and i think being a millenial is just going to be “you love remembering shit don’t you you stupid apes” for the rest of my life
Meanwhile Gen X is like, "Where is my Airwolf movie?"
To be fair sitting around and remembering some guys is a top tier social activity
I love remembering baseball players, but I kinda need more than that from a movie
Look at this guy. Look at that guy. Remember that guy. Here’s another guy this guy’s a girl.
Channing Tatum will be reprising his role as Captain Olimar in Avengers: Doomsday. Tickets on sale now.
holy shit its the guy
ok now I'm going to the theaters
they're releasing this movie again?
People in cinemas will see Olimar in disguise as he says "My name Jeff", collectively losing their marbles and applaud.
Ayyo sorry you have to deal with the genAI vitriol on the Sega West account bc of the company, you’re doing great and you’re also hilarious here
Very bizarre that the trailer for the newest Avengers dropped today and it took me several hours to even hear about it. I don’t know if this is simply a matter of how my social media feeds are curated nowadays or a sign of some bigger cultural disinterest compared to Infinity War era
Oh absolutely cultural disinterest they just don't have the cultural staying power they did in the 2010s
Might be just you: less then a day and the trailer’s already racked up 26 million views, and apparently ticket presale websites keep crashing.
I’m predicting a record-breaking opening weekend followed by a record-breaking second weekend drop
The most positive reactions I’ve seen are, “Oh, that looks neat.” It’s insane how much the culture has shifted in a relatively short amount of time. They over saturated the market and people stopped giving a shit.
It didn't help that literally nothing happens in the trailer. I appreciate that Marvel usually treats first trailers for their films as a tease, then reveals the actual story in the second trailer. But Marvel already did character reveal trailers for Doomsday, so this just feels redundant.
This is how I found out that the new Avengers trailer dropped.
I see a lot of people dunking on that Avengers trailer but my only complaint is, why did they go with so few characters? The Avengers, the New Avengers, the FF, the X-Men ... come on, that's barely gonna hold my interest. There must be dozens of other superhero teams they could throw in!!
If there's not a different superhero on screen every 10.5 seconds, I don't even know why I would bother seeing the movie
Where is Alpha Flight? Excalibur? X-Factor? Cloak and Dagger? We need them!
can't believe they left out the Agents of Shield, the Defenders, the Eternals, the Inhumans, the Mutant Underground, the Runaways...
If it doesn't have the original Champions, complete with Ghost Rider, Angel, Iceman, Black Widow, and Hercules, how can I even pretend to care?
How about a movie where a poor Doordash delivery guy has to navigate the literal battle of the marvel gods/superheros through a collapsing city so he doesn't lose his job for getting to many 3 star ratings. /jk
We need Gandalf the gray and Gandalf the white and Monty python and the holy grail’s black knight
My inner geek would be really excited about all the characters due to appear in Avengers Doomsday.... .... but he has a calculator. Approx runtime 165min. 32 core cast. = Av 5.15 minutes of screen-time a piece. Which character are YOU looking forward to blinking and missing?
*imitates young John Connor in T2* Umm all of them? *returns to normal self* Honestly I've pretty much lost interest in the MCU for a while, when it became more about how many faces can we plant in a movie and how big we can make the explosions.
...and each of those five-minute characters will be earning more for that appearance than any of us will in a year. So, um, there's that.
I think I'm skipping this movie.
Eh, I dunno. They managed relatively fine in Infinity War and Endgame.
If you're excited for Avengers: Doomsday, that's awesome. You do you. I'm personally not, but it's not an anti-Marvel thing because I'm looking forward to Spider-Man. Just not feeling this one.
Like right now, I'm getting more excitement seeing the Punisher befuddled realizing he can't just shoot the HULK. XD
I'm looking at the shot with all the teams together. Specifically the Thunderbolts and Sam/Scottt thinking "how we end up here?" But some things looked cool (the Fantastic 4 and the Wakandans).
Yeah. Personally I thought it looked pretty cool, but not very hyped about it. It still feels so desperate honestly
Im glad you've got a fair and normal response
