JD Vance to move to wealthy D.C. enclave, neighbors complain

newsJul 19, 2026432,943

The Washington Post reports Vice President JD Vance is relocating to an affluent enclave outside Washington, moving with his family to Wolver Hill Farm, a nearly 500-acre estate in Middleburg, Virginia about 42 miles west of the capital, even as the U.S. Naval Observatory will continue to require upkeep as his official residence. Neighbors in the old-money town told the Post that motorcades and helicopter noise top their list of concerns, and residents described the area as an escape from Washington that is now drawing gossip and complaints. The move has sharpened local tensions over security traffic and quiet rural life near the capital.

"Bill Maher says he's open to voting for JD Vance in 2028" my brother in christ I am 99% sure he didn't vote blue in '24 anyway, he's a tremendous piece of shit who somehow made a career out of finding the veins of racism and misogyny that were still at-the-time allowable in liberal spaces

Like it’s clear to me right now that there’s a whole bunch of reactionaries who donned “liberal” or “progressive” caps because it was more socially acceptable…and now that Trump is in power all these people are mask-off. It’s our duty to dunk them back into oblivion after Trump.

His show continues to exist only on the fumes of support from Bush-era progressives & the newfound support of Republicans.

The basic problem with Bill Maher is that all his friends will tell him "oh you're offensive" or "oh you're racist" and that's actually flattering to him, it makes him feel dangerous and unorthodox, but no one will tell him his REAL problem which is that he's dumb

His Obama smoking Virginia Slims joke in 2008 is when I stopped watching him

It's funny how clueless people are about Bill Maher. He got mad when people made fun of him. And then he changed his positions because he was mad. That's it. It could happen to any rich person. At any time.

Bill Maher made common cause with Islamophobes at least a decade ago now. Expressing a willingness to vote for a man who falsely accused Haitians in his own state of eating people’s pets is to agree with Vance’s racism and blood libel.

In fairness Maher also seems like a guy who's open to punching a baby.

Ignore this skeet2

he’s always been the libertarian who’s a republican but wants to smoke pot guy
