D.Moore18I wonder how many Daily Mail readers know that the EES system that is ‘punishing them’ was first proposed (& supported by the UK) in 2014, when we were in the EU?
Elena Adaal12The EU EES system actually works fine, as we are now able to spot ‘overstayers’ that stay in EU for more than 90 days a lot better. Waiting times of 20-30 minutes are not bad (in the US its one hour) and will decrease once the usual burn-in problems are solved.

JWexTheSpa8Actually, it is the EU in this case. They rolled out a system that does not work and they did so even though they were told time and again that it did not work. It's not just UK travellers being affected. It's travellers from across the world and many EU companies and the EU citizens they employ.

Tom Gleeson2This is the mirror image of what frontline-to-Brexit EU states such as Ireland and the Netherlands experienced for goods & food from GB, the first few months were chaotic (UK side largely gave up on the food side as they had failed to plan ahead, I don't think Irish food has ever faced inspection?)
