Trevor Phillips interviews Boris Johnson on Sky News
Johnson, like Trump will never admit their errors or incompetence. They have both soiled our politics beyond recognition They have both lived insanely privileged lives that meant they never bear responsibility for anything. They are both whining, victim playing, narcissists.
A clever criminal stays silent, admitting nothing when interviewed by police. A stupid criminal lies, and tries to talk his way out of things, but is trapped by those lies. A sociopath inhabits his lies, and lies, and lies, and lies…
I look at Starmer then I look at Burnham and I see their flaws. But then I look at Johnson, Truss, (soggy) Sunak and CallMeDave, and realise just how good Burnham and Starmer are. (I feel guilty leaving out Theresa May but she was simply 'not very good' as opposed to 'criminally appalling')
Which was the more destructive, insulting fraud: Johnson or Starmer? You might assume the former, but all the lads only had to collaborate in that - take fraudulent policies and vexatious statements seriously, repeat his bullshit, stomp his enemies - for about five months to get him over the line.
Even then, most of the press and parliament only pretended to take the fucker seriously for about 18 months, before they started treating him like the abysmal, intolerable insult to the public’s intelligence that he had always been. That’s a maximum Bullshit & Shenanigans period of under two years.
Keir Starmer is so obviously not a lefty I actually doubt at this point that he was ever a lawyer.
Starmer. By a long shot. Johnson was honest about who and what he was. He never pretended to be a caring, compassionate person. (Plus Johnson voted for equal marriage & to abolish Section 28).
Oh good. More pointless speculation about what may or may not happen under Andy Burnham. Letting Rees-Mogg out during daylight to add his thoughts really is the icing on the cake. #bbclaurak
Ah yes, the same Rees-Mogg that Trump donated 12 million to recently for his 'think tank' along with Toby Young. What the fuck are the BBC thinking.
Rees Mogg was smoking at one point, he's got to be careful in that daylight!
Maybe the studio has a 'daylight filter' so allow ReichSmug 🧛♂️ to take part without becoming a pile of ash ⚱️?
I’m assuming he was completely covered in Factor 10,000 sunblock?
For the papers it's not pointless. It's about setting a series of frames in the popular mind which will allow them enough vantage points to attack any policy, thus destabilising democracy and allowing their billionaire owners to swoop in to take control. Oh no, not pointless for them at all.
