Harlan Crow maxed out donations to Senator John Fetterman

politicsJul 16, 202644576

Billionaire Republican megadonor Harlan R. Crow gave the Federal Election Commission maximum of $7,000 to Sen. John Fetterman’s campaign on June 30, according to an FEC filing. Crow, chair of the board of Crow Holdings who listed his employer as the Trammell Crow Company on the filing, has faced scrutiny after ProPublica reported he financed luxury travel for and bought property from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and paid tuition for Thomas’s grandnephew. Fetterman has moved rightward on several issues since his election, drawing ire from former supporters and attracting Republican donors who praised his pro-Israel stances; a recent poll found his approval rating is higher among Republicans than Democrats. Less than a week after Crow’s contribution, Fetterman launched a bipartisan joint fundraising committee with Sen. Dave McCormick called Common Ground PA. Neither Crow nor Fetterman’s campaign immediately responded to requests for comment about the donation. The contribution spotlights Crow’s rare donations to Democrats and surfaces fresh scrutiny given Crow’s ties to Justice Thomas and Fetterman’s shift in policy and donor base.

So John Fetterman is cashing checks from Harlan Crow now? The same Harlan Crow tied to Clarence Thomas’ luxury gifts. The same Harlan Crow known for collecting Nazi memorabilia. Tell me again how this is acceptable! #USDemocracy #Pinks apple.news/A_G6_I5HnTXe...

Stop the presses. Absolutely shocking news here. Fetterman, a so-called Dem who has made a hobby of voting against his party, has been getting donations from a major GOP donor "Numerous Pennsylvania Democrats are reportedly considering challenging Fetterman in 2028" - and they damn well should.
