Bandai Namco announced ONCE UPON A KATAMARI for Nintendo Switch 2, arriving October 8, 2026. The launch includes a new paid DLC, Rolling LIVE Highlights, which adds 10 missions and music drawn from the mobile game Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE and can be bought separately on every platform where the game is sold. Rolling LIVE Highlights frames missions around streamers of Terra, introduces new primos, and challenges players to grow their Katamari to help the King of All Cosmos track trends and boost popularity. The Switch 2 edition adds a free update that enables exclusive mouse controls, delivers improved graphics and a smoother frame rate, and offers save-transfer from the original Switch provided no save file already exists on the new system. ONCE UPON A KATAMARI sends the Prince through eras such as the Jurassic, the Ice Age, and historical Japan, and includes new music, customization options, special powers like a magnet that attracts nearby objects, and a competitive multiplayer Katamari Ball mode. The game is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and the original Nintendo Switch; the Switch 2 release consolidates mobile Rolling LIVE content into a console DLC.

I actually kinda hate they chose to do this rather than a port of the actual Rolling Live, as someone who played both of the games last year. This isn't all the levels in Rolling Live, and more importantly it's the OUAK controls which are just worse straight-up...
