Magic x Star Trek set preview reveals captains and new mechanics

Weekly MTG's First Look previewed Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek, showing product details and a large batch of new cards. The set introduces a new keyword called dilemma that triggers whenever you cast a modal card. Another new keyword, federation, cares about the number of non-Borg creatures you control. For the first time in Magic history the set will include autograph cards bearing real signatures from the franchise's actors. Wizards presented multiple cards and mechanics during the stream to illustrate how dilemma and federation will shape deckbuilding and gameplay in the set's November release window.

I know they probably have to stick to the likeness of everything from the original series with zero licence for reinterpretation, unlike the FF/Tolkien/TMNT/Marvel sets, but this is just regular people standing Normal: The gathering

side note for me i'm SUPER glad they didn't do any mcu likeness's for the Marvel sets so far. so glad it's only been comic art and not real world likeness's. nothing against the dr who or star trek ones. just glad it wasn't Marvel
