Searchlight Pictures released the first trailer for Behemoth!, Tony Gilroy’s new drama starring Pedro Pascal as Alex Serian, a classically trained cellist who returns to Los Angeles after 20 years on the road. The film’s tagline describes music as “the constant and all-consuming river” of Alex’s life and frames his return as an adventure that will change him forever. The cast includes Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Alexa Swinton, Kaya Ralls, Erik Griffin, JoBeth Williams, Margarita Levieva, Hank Azaria and Will Arnett. Tony Gilroy wrote and directed the film and produced it alongside John Gilroy and Sanne Wohlenberg; Cameron Chidsey, Katie Goodson, DanTram Nguyen, Jeremy Reitz and Rayne Roberts serve as executive producers. Variety reported that David Harbour was originally attached but dropped out in January, and in a Vanity Fair interview Pascal called the movie “a love letter to music” and said his character’s first language is music, adding that the story is about family, legacy and healing.
