Jordan Walker hit a walk-off home run off Kyle Schwarber to win the 2026 Home Run Derby at Citizens Bank Park, edging the Phillies slugger 12-11 in the final. Walker matched Schwarber’s 11 homers in the final round, then swung again and sent a tiebreaking ball into the Philadelphia crowd to claim the title. Walker totaled 31 homers across rounds, 13 in the first, six in the second and 12 in the final. The event returned to the original swing-based format (20 swings first round, 15 in the second and final), with distance and three-swing swing-offs used as tiebreakers. Schwarber reached the final by narrowly beating Willson Contreras 9-8 in the second round, while 2018 champion Bryce Harper was eliminated in the opening round with eight homers. Walker’s victory made him the first St. Louis Cardinal to win the Home Run Derby, and the finale played out against a boisterous, at times booing, hometown crowd.
