On July 13, 2026 WWE Raw in Dallas opened with a Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins contract-signing setup, including a video package announced as part one of a multi-part history series on their time in The Shield. Brock Lesnar returned with Paul Heyman and was escorted to ringside by a group of Dallas police officers; Heyman said he obtained a restraining order meant to keep Oba Femi away from Lesnar. Oba Femi cleared the officers from the ring, confronted Heyman, and said he came for a fight while accusing Heyman of calling him stupid for giving up a title shot. The segment framed Lesnar versus Oba as an obsessive rivalry ahead of their Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam. Michael Cole noted attendance as over 12,000 while WrestleTix listed 11,137 tickets distributed for the American Airlines Center setup of 11,294 seats. The show also featured a seven-man gauntlet to determine an Intercontinental Title challenger at SummerSlam and an opening matchup with Iyo Sky versus Roxanne Perez.
