Former Miami Heat teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro were involved in a physical altercation at a gym inside Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, when Adebayo walked onto the courts, approached Herro and punched him, witnesses told The New York Times. The incident happened in front of an AAU team Herro runs; Herro’s AAU coach confronted Adebayo and security escorted Herro out while both players left on their own. Las Vegas police said officers were not called to the scene. The Heat told The Athletic they were aware of the incident and declined to comment; a Bucks spokesperson said the team was aware while some Bucks coaches said they were not. The fight came after a fan leaked screenshots of alleged Instagram direct messages tied to Herro that appeared to question Adebayo’s game following Herro’s trade to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Giannis Antetokounmpo deal. Miami and Milwaukee met later that day in Summer League play, a 119-86 Miami win; Herro attended the game and sat with new Bucks teammates, while Adebayo did not attend.
