Alexander Zverev reached his first Wimbledon final after defeating British wildcard Arthur Fery in straight sets in Friday’s semi-final. The win comes about a month after Zverev captured his first Grand Slam title at Roland-Garros. Broad coverage described the victory as dominant and said Fery’s surprise run at Wimbledon ends with the defeat. Zverev is set to move up to world number 2 on the rankings from Monday. He will face the winner of the Novak Djokovic versus Jannik Sinner semi-final for the Wimbledon championship.
