Alien: Earth Season 2 begins filming in London

Production has begun in London on Alien: Earth Season 2 and the series has added Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell and Jerome Flynn to the cast. The new additions join previously announced guest star Peter Dinklage and returning lead Sydney Chandler among an expansive international ensemble that also includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis and others. Variety and ComicBookClubLive report that Spruell reunites with showrunner Noah Hawley, who previously cast him on Fargo. FX says the series will premiere on FX and Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally, though no debut date has been set. Roles for Ullman, Spruell and Flynn have not been announced and are listed as TBA. Season 1’s premise will carry forward: in 2120 corporate-run Earth hybrids like the prototype Wendy collide with mysterious life forms after a Weyland-Yutani spaceship crashes into Prodigy City, setting the stage for the new season.

Hell yesssssss! Give me more. I love how strange this entry in the franchise is. Feels SO much like some of the comics. I still am giggling at how many people thought this was a short series or cancelled when that HUGE cliffhanger ending dropped last summer!

Listen I’m easy to please. You put a xenomorph in something and let it run wild and slaughter a bunch of people. I’ll at least be satisfied. Alien Earth took big swings like Prometheus and covenant(movies I love but will admit have a lot of issues) and was mostly coherent and successful imo.
