Prince Harry has returned to the UK ahead of a High Court ruling expected this afternoon in his privacy lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited. The case, heard at the high court in London in January, accuses the publisher of voicemail interception and blagging and lists a group of other high-profile claimants alongside the duke. In court Harry told the judge that ANL had put his life under surveillance, tried to drive him to "drugs and drinking," and continued to "come after" him and his wife, Meghan, whose life he said the publisher had made "an absolute misery." Harry described the litigation as a "recurring traumatic experience" and said he had wanted an apology and accountability rather than prolonged legal battles. The duke begins a week of charity engagements in Britain while awaiting the judgment that will determine the outcome of his long-running dispute with the Daily Mail publisher. Michael Savage of The Guardian covered the trial in January and reported Harry becoming visibly emotional during his testimony.
