Astronaut Jeremy Hansen, who voyaged around the moon in April aboard NASA's Artemis II mission, is leaving the Canadian Space Agency. The CSA said Hansen will pursue "new professional opportunities" starting in September and will continue to serve as a reservist with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Hansen was part of the four-person Artemis II crew with commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover and mission specialist Christina Koch, the first humans to go to the moon in more than 50 years. On that flight Hansen became the first non-American to travel beyond low Earth orbit and the first person to speak French while en route to the moon. Hansen, 50, from London, Ontario, joined the Canadian Space Agency after a career as a fighter pilot and recruitment in 2009.
