Jessica Pegula rallied past Iva Jovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals. Jovic took the opening set, but Pegula responded by changing pace, increasing slice and angle variation and adjusting serve placement to take the second set 6-3 and dominate the third 6-1. Pegula led 3-0 in the decisive set as Jovic could not find answers to Pegula’s heavier, more consistent hitting. The win is Pegula’s first Wimbledon quarterfinal appearance since 2023, it marks her 10th Grand Slam quarterfinal and was recorded as her 35th match victory of 2026. Pegula now advances to the last eight at Wimbledon.
