Christopher Nolan says working with Tom Holland on ‘The Odyssey’ confirmed to him that he’s ‘one of the great actors of his generation’ ⚔️
Tom is a great person and has been an excellent actor for years. I wish him all the best.
I think a lot of people only know the Marvel side of Tom. Tom did a lot of theater work and classic acting. I totally believe that he can do more and that Nolan was able to bring that out for a big movie theater epic.
Bahaha no... the guy has no variety
"This guy acting in my movie is sooo good!"
I knew his talent since The Impossible!
The Odyssey director Christopher Nolan says mainstream movies need to break away from playing it safe. "That’s what, consistently in mainstream movies, doesn’t work. The audience is looking for something new." https://bit.ly/3QYVp4L
Put one bright color in costuming then
Before anyone gets on him for saying this while promoting one of the oldest of all stories, straight adaptations of Greek myth are actually pretty few and far between in the USA. The last one was “Hercules,” twelve years ago, as best as I can tell.
I firmly believe that no one would be complaining about the "woke" casting in The Odyssey if Christian Bale was playing Ulysses.
Damon seems miscast, and that one error makes the whole project feel vulnerable
You’re probably right. Which…I dunno what that says…Bale is just that good? People tend to buy low on Damon?
I can’t agree with you on that, now if he was playing, Helen of Troy.
