Today's Bird of the Day is themed Quackers, any duck; the alternate theme is Swans. Gallery entries show field and garden bird photography focused on ducks and swans, with subjects ranging from single drakes and ducklings to family groups and dramatic encounters. You see here a lovely swan couple with there 1 day old youngsters. I a little canal in my city. The brown in the reed is a part from their huge nest. This photo is from last year.
