Spain beat Austria 3-0 in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, advancing to the Round of 16. Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice, becoming the first Spain player to net at least two goals in a men's World Cup knockout match since Emilio Butragueño in 1986. Lamine Yamal started and played 84 minutes and won FIFA Man of the Match. Spain entered the game as one of the tournament favorites and Roars Picks had predicted a 3-0 result ahead of kickoff. Substitutions included Ferran on in the 71st minute, Olmo off at 70 minutes, Gavi introduced in the 85th minute, and Pedri subbed off in injury time. The victory eliminates Austria from the tournament and sends Luis de la Fuente's side into the Round of 16.
