Tim Hardaway Jr. has agreed to a one-year, roughly $6.5 million contract with the Miami Heat after spending 2025, 26 with the Denver Nuggets. Hardaway finished third in Sixth Man of the Year voting last season and is being added as an experienced perimeter scorer and sharpshooter for Miami. Heat acquisition follows reports tying the 40.7 percent three-point shooter to Miami and fills a shooting role off the bench or in spot-up minutes. The $6.5 million salary will be absorbed via the Heat’s mid-level exception; Miami reportedly had about $8.5 million remaining in that exception before the signing and faces apron hard-cap considerations. The move gives Miami a low-risk veteran shooter for 2026, 27 and clears a one-year slot that leaves flexibility for further roster moves this summer.
