Naomi Osaka walked onto the All England Club court on Monday, June 29, 2026, wearing a custom white, kimono-inspired outfit by Tokyo-based designer Hana Yagi ahead of her first-round match against Elsa Jacquemot. The look, called "Evolving Ceremony" in posts, reimagines the traditional kimono using upcycled vintage pieces, a classic shiromuku bridal gown, and a deconstructed wedding dress, and designers and coverage say it also drew inspiration from the O-ren Ishii character in Kill Bill. Nike has made a 3-D floral version of Osaka's tennis dress available, and reports say the garment was already selling out before play began. Osaka then beat Elsa Jacquemot 6-1, 7-5 in her Wimbledon opener, completing the court entrance with the on-court victory.
