Will Ospreay defeated Swerve Strickland in the main event of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026, winning the finals of the Owen Hart Tournament. The victory awards Ospreay a title shot at All In 2026. The match served as the pay-per-view main event and followed a night of high-profile bouts including Mercedes Moné winning the women's Owen Hart Cup. After the match Ospreay, identified in a post as the 2026 Owen Cup winner, said "I don't hate Swerve, but I hate what we've become," framing their rivalry. Fan posts from the show noted Swerve took heavy bleeding during the bout. Ospreay now carries the tournament trophy and the booked path to a championship match at All In next year.
