NYT: Trump cut billion-dollar Kazakhstan mining deal
This story on the Trump and Lutnick corrupt interest in a Tungsten deal is breathtaking on its face. But as you read it, remember urgency behind the deal was Trump's illegal tariffs. Then note that deal won't actually PRODUCE any tungsten, if it does, until 2030. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/28/w...
Somewhere in recent days, @ossoff.bsky.social called out this corrupt deal, but I can't find it under all the other videos of him righteously calling out Mike Collins for being a bigot and antisemite or all the other videos of him calling out Trump's incompetence.
Few precedents?! Are they in the room?
Another impeachable offense with a normal Congress.
This is exactly why conflicts of interest matter. Americans are told these deals are urgent and necessary, then you find out the people pushing them stand to benefit while the actual production isn’t even expected for years. That’s not leadership. That’s self-dealing dressed up as policy.
Hey, America! At what point is it enough? At what point do we insist everyone follow the rules, be subject to the same laws, and, be held accountable? Enough, already. If your congressperson isn’t fighting for YOUR rights, if he/she is just “letting shìt happen” while looking away, REPLACE HIM/HER!
Every move is another calculated grift. They know we’re watching. They could care less.
America will be his 7th bankruptcy. You were warned.
This article is free to read. And you'll want to read about the billions of dollars taxpayer doled out to the Trump and Lutnick sons. Just disgusting, while millions of Americans go hungry and cannot pay for their health care.
Oh, shocker, another corrupt deal cut by the Trump regime with a highly authoritarian regime, another that will enrich the Trump family. This time it’s Kazakhstan, a nation in the bottom quarter on Freedom House Index. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/28/w...
Perusing the index, did you know that World Cup darling Cabo Verde has one of the highest Freedom Index scores, at 92/100. That’s higher than Spain or France and much, much higher than the U.S. (whose score is surely inflated compared to current reality given the sharp decline in freedom).
A dozen Teapot Domes a day.
