Saw Supergirl, it was a really fun and really enjoyable time at the movies! Genuinely at a loss this time around for what people are thinking saying it's some big misfire. Milly Alcock does a superb job as Kara and I was left really looking forward to seeing more of her.

supergirl was drab and uninspired but when milly alcock started chugging milk ive never felt more seen

why was this movie so ugly. does anyone in hollywood know how to light a movie anymore? even when I could see what was going on the colors were just so drab and muddy. at one point superman says something about their suits being colorful and like, maybe in Superman (2025) buddy.

for as generic as this script was it was shockingly flimsy. all of the aliens and planets feel like a knockoff James Gunn, who probably should have directed this instead. I heard that craig gillespie hadn't read the comics before this and was really hoping we'd get something inspired out of it, but instead we got nothing.

Jason Momoa IS Lobo, and I'm not sure anyone knows why. Milly Alcock absolutely carries the film with her performance, hopefully next time she'll get to be in a film that deserves it. while I'm dreaming, maybe throw in supercorp (you know it'd be good)

Supergirl just wasn't it. the vibes were off, and the glimpses of a more interesting movie weren't enough to carry the rest of it over the line. im not sure what women did to offend comic book movies so much, but we could really do with a win one of these days. even though the film sucked, I truly do hope that alcock gets to keep playing the role, because she really does get it. maybe next time

I had a lot of fun. Yeah some of the aliens were meh. I liked the tech pirate girl gang though. I might be biased because I like the 2000s Supergirl origin Krypton survivor story. I didn't have trouble with the lighting except the "free the brides" fight.

Just got back from Supergirl! While it has notable issues (pacing, lack of chemistry between Kara and the villain, etc.) I liked it overall. It feels very distinct from other superhero movies in a good way. Also Milly Alcock was a perfect fit for the role!

It’s a very big THUMBS UP from me. We just watched #Supergirl and loved it. Milly Alcock absolutely kills it. The plot is paper thin, the fights are repetitive and not particularly original anymore, but it was a whole heap of fun. Go see it — ignore the reviewers and ratings, it worth a big screen.
