The New York Times and NBC Sports report that Madison Square Garden has blocked July 2 and July 4 on its calendar and that New York City permit filings seek street closures around MSG from July 2 to July 4, renewing speculation Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could wed that weekend. The Times says multiple Kansas City Chiefs players reserved Manhattan hotels for July 2 to July 4 and that the permit paperwork requests police security and traffic control for streets around the arena. Certain reports and the filings outline an intimate July 2 ceremony for about 100 guests followed by a larger July 3 event, and use of MSG would require city approvals and NYPD logistics that could close roads and disrupt nearby events.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly filed a permit request to close streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2-4, according to TMZ. Several members of the Kansas City Chiefs have also booked hotels in the area for the same time period.
