Peter Murrell jailed 5 years 3 months for embezzling £400k from SNP
Peter Murrell was jailed for five years and three months at the High Court in Edinburgh after admitting he embezzled £400,310.65 from the Scottish National Party. Murrell admitted taking the money over about 12 years to 2022 and used it for personal purchases catalogued by BBC Scotland. Lord Young said Murrell committed a "calculated sum of dishonesty" and was involved in a "significant breach of trust." The conviction intensifies scrutiny of SNP governance and internal financial controls and increases pressure for formal inquiries into party funding.
Peter Murrell gets his just desserts. 5 years in jail for embezzlement of £400,000. Such odd behaviour when he had money and many of the items were mundane and went unused. The banality coursing through his behaviour adds to the bizarreness of his extreme betrayal of the SNP and its members.

Just seen the list of items purchased by the disgraced SNP minister Peter Murrell. One item concerned me in particular. "Chess jumpsuit", what the fuck is a "Chess jumpsuit" and why would one require a "Chess Jumpsuit"?!
