Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition listed for Switch 2 at Best Buy
Sonic Frontiers - Definitive Edition is out now on Nintendo Switch 2! Journey across the Starfall Islands, now with improved graphics and performance, as you uncover the islands' secrets and save Sonic's friends. Enjoy all previously released content all in one place! youtu.be/FlkkchmzVrA
They’re calling it the best kept secret in gaming history
Hey Sega. Quit with the lack of upgrade packs and Key Cards. Thanks.
Neat! Now put it on the cartridge and maybe we’ll talk
No upgrade pack + No genuine physical release = No buy.
worst kept secret in eons lol. cool seeing it on Switch 2 though i guess
No upgrade pack + No physical release = No buy
So yall repackage the game with basically no extra content or tweaks to justify buying the game again, with no cartridge, and yall expect us to pay for it? Hell no.
And you couldn't bother to do an upgrade pack yet again. You could have at least given a discount to people who already bought the Switch 1 version digitally (and the MANY other games without upgrade packs).
Very disappointed to see its a game key card.
No option to upgrade the Switch 1 version...
This is so disapointing 1. Why not just call it Switch 2 Edition? 2. It's a game key card 3. Why is there no upgrade pack? 4. You can't advertise included free DLC and updates as a selling point, that's dumb
no upgrade path + GKC is a dealbreaker. sorry.
A key-card release is super disappointing to see, especially considering no upgrade pack. I thought we might've turned the corner after Sonic Racing Crossworlds
Such a great end point for the 3D series referencing games from the 1st sonic adventure all the way through Forces. Its a shame that Sega has adopted such anti-customer practices like no upgrade path & game key card.I might have bought and supported this release otherwise, even after beating it on PS5
As a physical collector, I would've definitely double dipped & bought this version if it was on a real cart. Because it's a game-key card however, I won't.
Wow, all previously released content! …that was already included in the original game as free updates. …what exactly am I paying for?
There's no Upgrade Pack, I hope no one buys this garbage
Please stop doing game key cards.
Nsp files and just laughing at this
No upgrade pack is tragic man...
Why is it that Cyberpunk 2077 can fit on a regular cartridge, but this game needs a Key Card? What is even the point of these?
No upgrade option, and it's a key-card release. FUCK that.
Welp, what do you know? It got the cat out of the bag, and the Switch 2 version is here with no real deal physical release, no upgrade pack, nada! Thanks Sega, I’m very disappointed and do not recommended
Worst kept secret, isn't treated as an upgrade for NS1, it's a game key card, let's you put the save from NS1 to the NS2 (but doesn't let the Korone DLC for some reason), has a misleading title, such a whatever way to make a Switch 2 port.
how do you fumble the bag this hard bro 😭
So you deliberately avoided making it a Switch 2 Edition just so we would have to buy this again for $50? And it's a Key Card and not a real cartridge? And there's no new content? You can let me transfer my Switch 1 save but can't be bothered to at least give me a discount? 🤡
You'd better at the minimum provide a discount to switch 1 sonic frontiers owners if there's not an upgrade pack
No upgrade pack for existing switch 1 owners? Cmon you're better than this.
Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition (Switch 2 KC) up for order at Best Buy ($49.99 - release date June 23) buff.ly/HCTshpX #ad "This edition also includes Title "The Final Horizon" story campaign and Sights, Sounds, and Speed" and "Sonic's Birthday Bash" Content Updates."
This is the game key card i'm most pissed about. I preordered the switch release and it sucks on there. Bought it on steam for deck and it sucks. both had bad performance but i see the vision and love it. They finally get it on a handheld with enough power to run it and its a gkc. what a joke
Can't wait for the Switch 1 upgrade!
I seriously don’t understand why this wasn’t in Last Week’s direct, didn’t even need to have a dedicated segment, the Sizzle Reel would’ve been enough
If they don't offer a Switch 2 upgrade path for Frontiers, then it'll make it really hard for me to continue being a SEGA fan (and I say that as someone who doesn't own a Switch 2 and hasn't played Sonic Frontiers).
