Rhythm Heaven Groove demo released on Nintendo eShop
Wait, I need to confirm, but it looks like Rhythm Heaven Groove might be Nintendo's first game with both Text to Speech AND Audio Descriptions?!
So far in the demo all text has been voiced. Curious to see how far this goes as I play the demo.
"She may occasionally make mistakes"? What does that mean? Is it AI driven as opposed to pre-scripted?
I think it may be because Tsunkuu no longer has a voice, which may have inspired the use of Tomodachi's voice for this purpose since he probably uses a machine to speak now too.
It just occurred to me how annoying it must be to be blind and not be able to play the average rhythm game of all things, you'd think that genre would be much more accessible than it is really
Oh yeah, the rhythm heaven demo. Lowkey forgot we were putting that one out. Don't enjoy it too much, it'll brick your system upon completion so you have to buy a new one when the game comes out (:
will i have to buy a new switch or a new rhythm heaven?
Game demo so good it sends your console to heaven
Nintendo can I get a switch 3 please you've bricked 24 of my consoles.
my physical copy is pre-ordered
99% certain this is a real memory. At GDC 2009 (my first one) Nintendo held a big presentation. At the end, they told everyone to reach under their chairs. I obeyed the Oprah instructions and found a copy of the yet-to-be-released Rhythm Heaven for the DS. I thought this would be every event
I know they did this for Brain Age.
At a Steam conference I attended, they were giving everybody a free Steam machine. That's the only big giveaway I've ever gotten at a gaming event, but it's hard to top that.
We used to randomly get games at GameStop like this too. Like in 2005? I remember playing Mario Kart DS all weekend two days before it was supposed to release
man i really hope a lot of that rhythm heaven groove demo stuff is placeholder and not reflective of the final game because it kinda pissed me off i cant even lie
the ui is horrible looking (im not counting the startup menu but everything else looks like placeholder ui its so basic) and there’s a song in it that’s just in japanese and now i’m like Really worried that the songs might not even be dubbed like why would they not use the dubbed version..
im a longtime RH fan (played DS, Wii, and 3ds) and have def noticed everything I saw of groove felt a little... off? the UI like you mentioned looks extremely cheap like it was made in powerpoint or something. even 3ds for all its flaws still cared about presentation. def shows a lack of care/polish
it just feels really weird imo between the art style the ui and the scoring system just being different for some reason it kinda feels like a game thats trying to be rhythm heaven but cant because of copyright or something i hope the full game is different because i can see myself having fun with it
most of the rough edges did seem stapled on to cordon off the demo bits, that menu screen especially smelled of a 1 week project to get this ready
